Cancer funds wants donations
The Central Coast Cancer and Palliative Fund Inc is calling for donations to meet patient needs as the incidence of cancer increases on the Central Coast.
The fund helps meet a variety of needs, providing equipment such as wheelchairs, stretcher lift trolleys, pressure relieving mattresses and push-chair commodes.
In the past, the Fund has donated substantial sums of money to assist with the building and equipping of the Hospice Palliative Care Foundation Day Care facility at Woy Woy, which was officially opened in May 1998.
The Fund has also provided equipment and "comfort" items for in-patients in the oncology ward at Woy Woy Hospital.
The Fund is a non-profit organisation and donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
Anyone able to assist the Fund with a donation, either monetary or a gift which could be used in a raffle, or with practical help should telephone 4344 3141.
