Catholics and Masons clash again
The Woy Woy Bowling Club will again sponsor the annual Kneelers and Grippers Charity Bowls Day on May 6.
The bowls clash sees the Catholics challenge the Freemasons in an action-packed game.
The event has been going for 10 years.
In this time, those involved in the event have raised more than $30,000, which has been donated primarily to causes on the Central Coast.
Recipients in the past have included Woy Woy Hospital, the Coastal Patrol and the Sea Cadets.
The day is organised by the St Vincent De Paul Society and the Morning Star Lodge of Woy Woy.
All proceeds are divided equally between the two organisations and distributed to worthy charities within the district.
There will be a raffle on the day with prizes donated by Peninsula businesses.
For further information or to register to play, phone the club on 4341 3304.
Registration can also be done on the morning for mixed, single or pairs bowls.
Everyone is welcome to play or to enjoy the amenities of the club.
Dress is mufti, flat rubber shoes must be worn.
Last years proceeds of $1100 went to St Jude's Home for Homeless Men and $1100 to the Woy Woy District Hospital.
