Collegiate school endorsed

A combined parents and citizens group meeting has endorsed the need for a "collegiate" school on the Peninsula.

P&C representatives attending a meeting on March 22 came from Empire Bay., Ettalong, Pretty Beach, Umina, Woy Woy and Woy Woy South public schools and from Umina High.

A further meeting was held which included Woy Woy High representatives.

It is proposed that Woy Woy and Umina High Schools will be restructured to form a collegiate school with. junior and senior campuses, being phased in from next year.

A three-month consultation stage is currently in progress, with opinions being sought from schools, teachers, parent bodies and community members.
