Sports congratulations

Empire Bay Public School principal Mr Gordon Fraser has congratulated pupils Miles Macquillan and Chelsea Tomlin, who were recently selected in the Woy Woy Zone soccer teams.

They will take part in further trials to choose a Central Coast side.

Congratulations also went to Shellie Wilkes who won the 11 year, 400m race at the State Little Athletics Carnival.

The school’s swimmers performed well at the recent Sydney North carnival.

Patrick Crocker made the final of the 10 years boys freestyle event at the Sydney North Zone swimming carnival where he came fifth.

He was also second in the final of the junior boys backstroke and will go to swim at the state carnival.

Shellie Wilkes made the final of the 11 years, girls freestyle and came seventh.

Chris Bainbridge came ninth in the final of the junior boys butterfly.

Rikki Lewis came 10th in the final of the senior girls breaststroke, ninth in the senior girls backstroke and fourth in the senior girls butterfly.
