Grow reopens
Australia's International Community Mental Health Movement, Grow, has reopened in Woy Woy on Monday, March 26.
A meeting will be held at the hall on the corner of Blackwall and Victoria Rds at 7pm every Monday evening.
Grow fieldworker Mr David McLoughlin said: "There has been a great need expressed by the local members of the Peninsula area for a Grow group in their community and we are pleased to have the opportunity to finally re-open in Woy Woy."
He said: "In the past we had two Grow groups in Woy Woy and reopening this group is the first step in re-establishing this important link in community support and development."
Grow was a community mental health movement for self-help and mutual help, using a 12-step program of personal growth.
The method helped people recover their mental health or to recover from other types of emotional and social breakdown.
No introductions or fees were necessary.
Anyone in need of help with personal growth and support in recovery is invited to "just come along".
