More work for the dole

Member for Robertson Mr Jim Lloyd has announced new "Work For The Dole" positions on the Peninsula.

"A total of 40 additional places have been made available in a wide range of career options in the latest round of funding," Mr Lloyd said.

Positions available include training in clerical support with the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.

"The Work for the Dole scheme has been one of the most successful and popular initiatives by the Federal Government and has resulted in hundreds of young unemployed Central Coast people receiving worthwhile training and job skills.

"Most of these people go on to find full time or casual employment," Mr Lloyd said.

"Not only do the participants benefit from this scheme, but the whole Central Coast community benefits from the additional facilities and services provided," Mr Lloyd said.
