Two athletes sponsored

Everglades Country Club has sponsored two young athletes to attend events in their chosen sport.

Michael McGurren who has been chosen to attend the Australian water polo selection trials in Perth, received a cheque for $500. Blake Vanderwoulde, who holds the 800m State Schools Championship for athletics, received a cheque for $464 to attend the recent Pacific School Games in Sydney.

Club president Mr Brian Crawley said the club was proud to support the young athletes and wished them well.
