Council seeks 'Birthday' interest

Gosford Council is seeking expressions of interest from businesses and community groups wanting to take part in this year's "Oysters' Birthday", to be held on November 11 at Woy Woy.

The Oysters' Birthday has become an annual community celebration in Woy Woy and attracts up to 10,000 people, organisers claim.

The event has steadily grown in previous years and organisers are hoping to make this year's the biggest and best yet.

Any group wanting to be part of the festivities by staffing a stall or exhibit or by sponsoring a competition should send a submission stating how they would like to be involved and including a daytime telephone number and contact address.

Submissions should be sent to Manager Recreation Services, Gosford Council, PO Box 21, Gosford 2250 by July 31.
