Brisbane Ave has waited longer

In your April issue, M.Robertson of Umina was irate.

She asked how long rates had to be paid before footpaths and kerb and guttering appeared. She was worried because after paying rates for 14 years she had neither.

Well, M.Robertson, Brisbane Ave has waited 62 years and still has neither and no prospects of getting them either.

It is a follow-on of West Street and, as the only outlet of the development on the hills behind us, it goes 24 hours a day.

So stand in line!

Frequent letters to Gosford Council bring no results.

However, both were put into Osborne Ave (the next street) to service the Youth Centre, which is not used and when opened will only be open about 20 hours a week.

It has no through traffic.

I have paid rates here for 32 years and been asking the same question for most of that time.

We are also on the bus route and the bus stops are just big pools of water every time it rains.
