Road closure request

A petition with 52 signatures has been presented to Gosford Council from residents of Osborne Ave, Umina.

They requested the relocation of a road closure from the corner of Brisbane and Bathurst Avenues to the corner of Osborne and Bathurst Avenues, Umina.

The petitioners state that since the construction of kerb and guttering and footpath across Bathurst in Osborne Avenue, vehicles entering and exiting Bathurst Street have to cross the footpath and cause damage, leaving debris.

Two petitions, totalling 169 signatures, have been received by Gosford Council demanding that no dredging activity take place on the sandbank from Ettalong Point to Little Box Head.

A petition, with 61 signatures, has been received from Central Coast residents requesting the removal of the Pedestrian Safety Zone in Wellington Street, Umina, as soon as possible before a serious accident occurred.

The petitioners stated that local buses and traffic were constantly using the street for access to the main shopping centre and the projection of this obstacle was extremely hazardous.
