Accounting firms disappoint

Cr Lynne Bockholt has expressed disappointment that large accounting firms did not submit proposals to undertake the Council's management audit.

"I would have liked to have seen some of the bigger firms show some interest, eg Arthur Andersen Consulting, Deloite, Tamahsu, KPMG and Coopers & Lybrand" she said.

"I am glad that Council has resolved to invite some of these firms to submit an expression of interest.

"I continue to believe that a far-ranging management audit will be one of the most important things I do on Council and I want to make sure that Council has the widest possible choice of firms to choose from."
