New yacht for open day
An Open Yacht Day will be held at Hardy's Bay on October 4.
It will be held aboard Hardys Bay Yacht Charters' newest addition, Lasal.
Kent "Bones" Sheppard, who has spent the last two years building up his yacht charter business, said he was excited to be introducing the yacht to the Brisbane Waters.
The 38ft luxury yacht has many features including three double berths and one bathroom, a fully-equipped galley, hot and cold showers.
It can be crewed comfortably by as few as two, and can take groups of up to 10 passengers.
Hardys Bay Yacht Charters caters for couples, families and small groups looking for a unique outdoor experience.
Kent said he believed the new yacht would enhance the experience even further.
"Quite often we spot fairy penguins as we sail past the protected penguin rookery of Lion Island."
The yacht will be moored at the end of the Hardys Bay public wharf on Araluen Dr further on from the Hardys Bay Community Church from 10am to 3pm and all are welcome.
