Fifty pairs tee off

Fifty pairs teed off on Sunday, August 1, in the annual Mixed Foursomes Championship and after 27 holes Julie Paull and Brendan James claimed the championship returning a score of 112.

Evergreens veterans Hien McManus and Tony Lamaro were five shots back in second place.

The mother and son pairing of Yvonne and Shane Starkey captured the nett prize with a score of 103 1/2 in a closely contested finish from Maureen and Norm Williams on 104 1/4.

A post championship dinner saw 70 people enjoy a meal offered by resident chef Simon and his team.
