Cheque for Child Flight

Woy Woy Bowling Club chairman Ken Dixon and Charity Day organiser Julie Bennett have presented a cheque for $13,000 to the Child Flight helicopter ambulance service.

The cheque was a result of the past year's charity day fund-raising efforts by the club.

The money raised is the equivalent of four life saving trips by the child flight service.

Last year the service flew 1200 hours, consuming 300,000 litres of fuel.

Currently, the service uses nine pilots with a further four on stand-by.
