Old pharmacy changes hands

The oldest pharmacy in Woy Woy, Soul Pattinson Pharmacy, on the corner of Blackwall Rd and Railway St, Woy Woy, has changed hands.

Former owners Clyde Marshall and David Underwood, who have been there for 15 years, have sold the pharmacy to Raymond Kouch and Annie Truong who are partners in the business.

Clyde Marshall has retired and David Underwood still works at the pharmacy two days a week.

Woy Woy Pharmacy had the first commercial telephone number in Woy Woy,

Their number used to be Woy Woy 1.

The new pharmacists plan to build on the current clientele while maintaining the same standard of service.

All five existing staff will remain working in the pharmacy and they will be looking to increase their range.

Raymond and Annie pride themselves in ensuring that any person who is receiving medicine for he first time receives written information on the product and are told about side effects.

The new partners commute from Sydney at present.

Raymond graduated six years ago and has another pharmacy located in Sydney that he owns.
