Support given to HSC students
Staff are providing maximum support for students undertaking their HSC this year, according to Brisbane Water Secondary College principal Mr Pat Lewis.
Year 12 students at the senior campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College completed their Trial HSC examinations several weeks ago and now had a clear view of the real HSC, he said.
Woy Woy campus principal Mr David Beattie addressed a student assembly last week, as did other senior staff, and gave students advice on the best ways to prepare themselves for the "trying times ahead".
Students also received a study guide, "Preparing for my Personal Best", compiled by deputy principal Ms Pamela McAlister.
The guide contained study planners for the remaining weeks of school and the holidays, study tips and skills, useful web sites and exam tips on how to approach each HSC exam paper.
Mr Lewis said that, although the trial HSC was over, lessons would continue for the rest of the term and for the first week of term four and students would benefit greatly from full attendance.
The HSC begins on Monday, October 18.
