Learning centre gets a web site
Information Technology students from Northlakes High School were recently given the opportunity to work with the Peninsula Alternate Learning Centre to design and build a web site, marketing brochure and course fliers.
The project was run by Youth Connections Inc, an organisation which provides school-to-work transition programs.
In the past three years, Youth Connections Inc has hosted Community Enterprise Projects where senior secondary students get the opportunity to work as a team on a community project.
Participants in the Community Enterprise Projects are awarded with Employability Skills certificates that indicate the students have demonstrated all the required skills, upon completion of their training.
