Peninsula News moves office
The Peninsula News office has been relocated for what is expected to be the last time for the foreseeable future.
Its first location in 1999 was a very small office upstairs in the Swancott Centre on Railway St, opposite the train station in Woy Woy.
The business quickly outgrew that space and a new location was found on St John's Corner at the intersection of Blackwall Rd and Victoria Rd, Woy Woy.
The landlord needed that space for another business and a move was made to its most recent office in Chambers Place, Woy Woy, by far the biggest office space to date.
Over the last year, business manager Cec Bucello has been looking to purchase a suitable building on the Peninsula to provide a long-term office for the newspaper.
He was unable to find anything suitable until an opportunity arose early this year to buy a building, just off the Peninsula at Tascott, which includes an apartment upstairs.
The revenue from that apartment together with the rent currently being paid elsewhere for the office when combined will pay for most of the mortgage on the new building.
The building has been completely refurbished and two offices have been set aside to be separately let as serviced offices.
The new location is 2a Kateena Ave, Tascott, opposite Tascott railway station.
The new telephone number is 4325 7369 and the fax number is 4325 7362.
The e-mail address will not change and all details will appear regularly on page two of the newspaper.
Anyone wishing to hand deliver material to the office but is unable to get to Tascott may leave the material at Peninsula Music, George St, Woy Woy for collection.
