Fyna plays at Gosford

Peninsula rock band Fyna played at the Mayday Madness concert at Gosford Showground on Saturday, May 29.

Fyna won the spot through a local radio station contest and performed on stage at 1pm.

The band comprises guitarist and vocalist Alex Bennison, Tim John on bass and Dave Jenkins on drums.

They will also take part in an industry showcase on June 2.

Empire records have organised a gig at the Excelsior Hotel to show them off to the media and major record companies.

Fyna have been playing together since the age of nine.

Now they have left school, the boys have performed many shows, including at the Palais Royale in Newcastle and the Metro in Sydney.

They have also headlined benefit concerts in aid of such charities as CanTeen and The Youth Suicide Awareness group.
