Bushcare areas fenced

Two fencing projects have taken place for Peninsula bushcare groups at Patonga and Umina.

At Patonga, the bushcare group have had two 60cm high fences erected around the dune system that were funded through and Envirofund and CCCEN grants.

At Umina, an extensive program of fencing and planting has begun in the recreation reserve at Umina Beach, with 200m of fencing erected and 200 native plants planted in the area leading to the caravan park.

The fencing is designed to protect existing trees, to protect replanting and to allow regeneration in the area.
