Wrong author

In the last edition of the Peninsula News, a letter was published "Illegal clearing needs attention" under the name of Jeannette Thiering.

It was in fact an anonymous letter published as an article in the Bouddi Society newsletter.

Peninsula News has an arrangement to publish material from the newsletter, but misunderstood the origin of the material.

Peninsula News staff understood the letter to have come from the Killcare Wagstaffe Trust newsletter, which is edited by Mrs Thiering, and so attributed her name to it.

This newspaper has a policy of not publishing anonymous letters.
