College runs cross country
Brisbane Water Secondary College students competed in the college cross-country run in perfect weather in late May.
"On a course which would be the envy of students all over the state, runners began at Blackwall Point and made their way along the shores to Woy Woy channel, finishing behind Woy Woy oval," said college principal Mr Pat Lewis.
"Students from both campuses and from Years 7 to 12 participated together in a true whole-of-college event illustrating that, although the college has a junior and a senior campus, they are one comprehensive school," he said.
Winners of each of the age divisions were: 12 years Dylan Refalo and Renee Mainwaring, 13 years Daine Davis and Amanda Thorpe, 14 years David Mainwaring and Holly Speerin, 15 years Paul Steel and Elle Peters, 16 years Joel Weeks and Megan Ridout, 17 years Peter White and Cassie Bege.
College students then went on to compete in the Zone event on Monday, May 31.
