Bushland could be memorial

State Liberal Representative for Peats Ms Debra Wales has our community support in her call for Gosford Council to utilise Section 94 contributions for the purchase the Peninsula's last substantial remnants of sand plain left in private ownership on Veron Rd and Hillview St.

She quite succinctly puts the proposition for long suffering ratepayers that the Peninsula is under such enormous pressures from over development.

With the unfortunate death nearby of Senior Constable Chris Thornton, the area could be named in honour of this police officer who gave his life in service of our community.
