Easter sunrise service at Umina

An Easter Sunday sunrise service is being organised by the Brisbane Waters Minister's Association to be held at Umina Surf Club in Sydney Ave.

The service will commence at 6am.

Many churches are involved, providing seating, music, amplification, preacher, stewards, and a crew in the kitchen to prepare a simple fish breakfast which is served at the conclusion of the service.

Uniting Church Council secretary Ms Annette Strong said: "It is a very tranquil and peaceful setting, listening to the gentle waves breaking on the foreshore, while eyes are focussed towards the sun rising over Bouddi National Park."

If the weather is inclement, the service will be held indoors.

Participants are asked to bring a folding chair to ensure there are enough chairs.
