Solar heating competition
Peninsula residents will have the chance to enter a solar heating competition at Deepwater Plaza on April 23.
April has been named Solar Month by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) of NSW.
The aims of solar month are to: "reduce knowledge barriers to installing solar hot water or solar power, to improve awareness of the rebate programs and incentives for solar hot water, recognising the importance of industry and community leaders in influencing consumer attitudes".
SEDA's ultimate objective is: "a measurable increase in the number of people choosing solar, through both solar rebates and solar hot water take-up".
There is also a competition with a prize of a solar hot water system donated by AGL Energy Shops.
Entry forms will be available at a display at Deepwater Plaza, Woy Woy, on April 23.
