Bowls receives national attention

Thursday social bowls at Everglades has received international recognition with Australian bowls representative, Dave Stockham, being among the players one recent Thursday.

Thursdays now have several national representatives on the rink with former International rugby league player from the 50s Ted Hodges also playing.

The entry price of $4 includes a feed, six chances at three bottles of premium red wine, or three Ingham's chickens, plus the chance to win seafood, yearling rumps or T-bones.

An invitation has been extended to new or inexperienced bowlers to meet at the Everglades at 12.45pm on any Thursday to join in.
