Tour planned of endangered ecology

Woy Woy Association for Environmental Education has planned a tour some of the endangered ecological communities of the Woy Woy-Umina sandplain.

Consultant ecologist Robert Payne will conduct the tour.

The group will meet on April 13 at Umina Oval Etta Rd entrance at 10am, or at the Woy Woy Environment Centre at 9.30am.

Some walking will be involved along the sandplain drainage system to see Umina Coastal Sandplain Woodland, Sydney Freshwater Wetland and Coastal Estuary Swamp ecological communities.

The tour will finish at about 1pm.
