Children used for Winnie the Pooh
"Winnie the Pooh" will be presented at The Peninsula Theatre during the Easter school holidays.
This will be the second production by Woy Woy Little Theatre Inc. using children as the main actors in an attempt to introduce other children to the theatre.
The cast was selected from an open audition which was advertised and attracted over 30 players.
"Most of them were good enough to be included in the cast so we chose those that projected their voices the best," said director Fran Kendall.
"The response was so good and the level of talent so high, that we would definitely consider producing a play with a much larger cast next time," she said.
The six cast members chosen were receiving training variously from The Mad Cow Theatre Group, Alan Coleman TV and Drama School, Gosford Musical Society, The Lee Academy and Angela Denman's Peninsula School of Dance and Theatre.
The play is scheduled twice a day from April 12 to 20.
