Bensville swimmer breaks world record

Two Bensville masters swimmers have broken world, national and state records in the recent NSW Masters Swimming Championships in Sydney.

In the 80-84 year age group, Kevin Vickery broke the world 400m freestyle record, Australian records in 200m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 200m individual medley, and took gold in the 100 freestyle.

Elvera Dunn in the 70-74 year age group set new state records in both 50m and 100m butterfly and was awarded a trophy for butterfly swimmer of the meet.

Elvera also took gold in the 200m individual medley and 50m backstroke.
