Alice is still active
Alice Fitzpatrick of Umina is 103 years old, healthy and an active member of organisations in the local area.
Her husband served at Gallipoli and they married in 1919.
They raised a family until he died of war related complications in 1952.
One of Alice's daughters, Gloria Peachey, is also a war widow.
Alice is one of 400 First World War widows in NSW and of 1200 in Australia.
There are nine Australian First World War veterans living.
ANZAC Day this year will be the first without a Gallipoli veteran.
