Traffic is light

A traffic survey in Warrah St, Ettalong, to determine level of usage of the road by heavy vehicles, has found just 0.1 per cent of traffic is heavy vehicles.

Gosford Council has been told traffic speed, volume and classification surveys were carried out in the street.

Total number of vehicles recorded was 3999 at a rate of 173 vehicles per day.

Posted speed of the road was 50km/h, with the average speed of 85 per cent of vehicles being 47km/h.

The percentage found speeding was 10.48% with the highest speed recorded being 97km/h.

Just three vehicles were heavy vehicles.
