Bowls event reintroduced

Everglades Bowls Club has reintroduced the Versatility Fours events as a regular part of its bowls program.

Seventy two bowlers with some from Avoca and Terrigal graced our greens on Monday, June 25.

Prizemoney of $500 was offered. Fast and true greens added to the success of the day.

So popular was the reintroduced event, it will be on again each fourth Monday of each month.

Everglades and Woy Woy Bowls Clubs attracted more than 250 bowlers to their joint Queen's Birthday Carnival.

It was held at the greens of both clubs over two days, with friendly yet strong competition.

Ted Martin and Ian O!rielly of Woy Woy worked with their committee are now planning another carnival for the bank holiday weekend in October.
