History of the Peninsula
To mark the Centenary of Federation we have taken a look at items in the local newspapers for the Peninsula in this month at decade intervals over the past 100 years. The newspapers are kept in the local studies collection of Gosford Library.
A Woy Woy General Store was receiving much publicity after it employed topless sales assistants.
It was a move sparked by the desire to increase business.
The move caused much controversy and saw a number of letters flow into the Gosford Star and even a street poll with local residents offering their opinion on the issue.
