Table tennis played

Umina High School’s table tennis team was selected from 65 students who tried out for four positions.

The team selected was Mitchell Fiddock, Daniel Fiddock, David Brewer and Simon Laming, with reserves of Daniel Leahy and Scott Baker.

Round 1 vs The Entrance High at the Entrance High: Umina High team won 4-0, the team being David Fiddock, David Brewer, Simon Laming and Scott Baker.

Round 2 vs Terrigal High at Umina High on the school’s new table tennis tables: Umina had a 4-0 win.

The team was Mitchell Fiddock, Daniel Fiddock, David Brewer and Simon Laming.

Round 3 vs Asquith Boys at Asquith Boys High: Umina lost 4-1.

The team was Mitchell Fiddock, Daniel Fiddock, David Brewer and Simon Laming.

Although Simon Laming won the only rubber, all the others took the opposition to the limit in both the singles and doubles matches.
