Low speed at surf club

Low traffic speeds have been found in a traffic speed survey and volume count carried out on The Esplanade near Ocean Beach Surf Club, Umina.

The total number of vehicles surveyed was 2986, a rate of 414 vehicles per day.

The posted speed was 50km/h, with 85 per cent of vehicles averaging 31km/h.

The highest speed recorded 68km/h, but only 0.44 per cent were speeding.
