Appeal to cost $30,000

Gosford Council has been told that it will cost the council $30,000 to defend the appeal against its refusal to issue a construction certificate.

Council officers reported that the applicant, Bruce Kerr Pty Ltd, had appealed against Council’s refusal of a construction certificate for a property in Nagari Rd, South Woy Woy.

The application was refused by the Manager of Subdivisions under delegated authority "because the plans submitted were not in accordance with the Land and Environment Court approved development consent or Council’s specifications".
