Woy Woy swims at zone meet

Representatives from Woy Woy Public School, selected at a swimming carnival held at the new Peninsula Leisure Centre, competed at the Zone Swimming Carnival on March 7.

Woy Woy Public School teacher Kath Taylor said: "Our children competed with pride and behaved as expected as our representatives."

The results were Katelyn Cooper first in 11 years backstroke and third in 11 years 50 metre freestyle.

Jedda O'Brien came first in the 13 years 50 metre freestyle, while Emma Fenech came second in the 50 metre backstroke.

Matthew Evans came second in the 9 years boys 50 metre freestyle and in the junior boys 50 metre breast stroke.

Sienna Inglis came first in the 8 years 50 metre freestyle while Teagan Hughes came third in the 9 years 50 metre freestyle.

The junior girls relay team also came first.

All of these students will be moving on to the Sydney North competition.
