Showcase of talent

The showcase of local talent known as The Cultural Laboratory is on again, with the next event planned for Friday, April 7, at the Peninsula Theatre.

The program will include indigenous dance, mixed media, original rap from young rapper Jonathan French and Aerosol Art.

The event will also feature poetry such as Heats Dichotomy, experimental poetry that tells the story of one person's personal odyssey, and the film "Woy Woy, the Venice of Australia" from Gosford Council's archives.

Other features of the event will be "Whose Country?", a short play by Marianna Hamilton and Chris Maclaren.

Elysha Manik will dance to Mr Bojangles and also performing will be vocalist Josephine Gleeson, winner of last year's Youth in Performing Arts Scholarship.

The Cultural Laboratory will begin at 7.30pm.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for concessions and children.
