Ettalong wins bowls final

The Central Coast District Bowls Association Zone 15 Junior Championships saw the Fours Championship Final played on Monday, February 27.

The game was between Ettalong and Bateau Bay, with Ettalong coming out victorious.

More than 100 spectators and supporters watched the final.

Bateau Bay led 6-0 after the second end, then the Ettalong skip Wade Hayward with support from his young team picked up nine shots in the following three ends to take the lead 9-6.

The teams were 16-all on the 16th end.

Ettalong picked up three shots on the last two ends to win the Fours Championship 19-16.

The winning team from Ettalong was made up of Dolton Wilson, Zac Robertson, Harley McDonald and Wade Hayward.

Runners-up team Bateau Bay consisted of Matt Cather, Matt Holbrook, Brad Thurlow and Mitch Larkin.
