Investigation request

I hope others have received some better indication from the Director of Local Government than I of a proper investigation into conflicts such as the one I raised about Cr Peter Hale, when he supported Cr Laurie Maher's amendment calling for the removal of any reference to height in DCP159.

The matter raised was my concern that the councillor was supporting the interest of his employer, the Ettalong Beach Memorial Club, by supporting the removal of height restrictions put in place by the efforts of his constituents.

Cr Hale's remuneration is related to the success of the club and the heights of adjacent buildings would reflect future business back on the earning potential of the Outrigger Resort and Ettalong Club.
