Building program enters second stage

Stage Two of the building program at Brisbane Water Secondary College Umina Campus will involve "front of school" improvements, according to college principal Mr Frank Gasper.

"In Stage One, the focus was on student facilities and we received our performance space, movement studio, PE change rooms and the basketball courts," Mr Gasper said.

"This was a conscious decision to focus on student facilities first in case the pool of funds dried up.

"Stage Two will provide us with a new administration building that will be far more comfortable for students, visitors and staff.

"Several new class rooms spaces will also be provided, as existing staff rooms are converted once staff move to the new facility that will be located in the current administration building."

Mr Gasper said work would continue into next year, although some buildings would possibly be completed and available by term four "if all goes well".
