Celebration for 50 years at Umina
The 50th anniversary celebrations of Umina Public School will be held during the week starting Monday, September 18.
Principal Mr John Blair said a number of activities had been planned for the week.
"Throughout that week a display of photographs and memorabilia will be on show in the school library.
"Also organised for that week will be a school musical written by our teachers and performed by all 800 students currently enrolled," Mr Blair said.
"The musical will celebrate the five decades of education at Umina and will be performed a number of times during that week.
"A special assembly on Friday, September 22, will be held for past students, teachers and friends of Umina School and they will also be invited to a performance of the musical and a guided tour of the school.
"Comprehensive details of this special occasion will be published in various forms over the coming weeks and months."
He said past students and teachers would be advised of the event.
"We would love to have as many people as possible come back on Friday, September 22, to join in the celebrations."
