Insist on tanks and solar panels
It would appear that the recent rain has been falling everywhere except into our dams.
Wouldn't an enlightened Council or State Government therefore insist that everyone should install a water tank?
Rebates should be offered of course.
People would then perhaps become more responsible for their water use, as are people in rural areas, where they depend solely on tank water.
While they are about it, this enlightened authority could insist that all homes have solar panels.
After all, the planet is hotting, up so why not use it to advantage?
If people want air-conditioning then let them provide their own electricity, otherwise the power stations will be using up even more fossil fuels and heating up the planet even more.
It is shameful that more rooves in the northern hemisphere, like Germany and Sweden, are covered with solar panels, than here in Australia.
For how much longer are we going to bury our heads in the sand?
