Community college runs courses here
The Central Coast Community College will be running several courses over the next few months in the Peninsula area.
Courses will include drawing, creative songwriting, shiatsu and computers.
Drawing (basics and beyond) will begin on May 2, and will involve four two-hour sessions.
Creative songwriting will begin on May 10 and will involve eight two-hour sessions.
Shiatsu will begin on May 17 and will involve six two hour sessions.
The courses will be run at the Peninsula Community Centre.
Four different computer courses will also be run at the Technology Futures centre at Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy Campus.
Courses include computers for seniors, computer housekeeping for seniors, letter writing using your computer for seniors and an introduction to computers.
Computers for seniors will start on May 6 and run for three three-hour sessions.
This is a general introduction to computers and no prior knowledge of computers is required.
Computer housekeeping for seniors will begin on May 27 and run for two three-hour sessions.
This course will show seniors how to set up a computer to suit them.
Letter writing using your computer for seniors will begin on June 10 and will involve three three-hour sessions.
This course builds on the word processing knowledge from the previous two courses.
Introduction to Computers will begin on May 31 and will involve five three-hour sessions.
This is a comprehensive introduction to computers, word processing, spreadsheets and the Internet, and covers similar topics to the other three courses, but is for everyone, not just seniors.
