Camp for study skills
Woy Woy High School's Year 12 has had a study skills camp on the NSW South Coast.
Study skills were combined with recreational activities designed to foster cooperation and unity.
The 80 students only attended one day at Woy Woy High before leaving for the South Coast.
The students stayed in "first-class accommodation settled into the foothills of the mountains, with pet peacocks roaming around", according to the school.
During the two-day trip, students participated in sessions on many study methods including note-taking skills, listening skills, study timetables, goals and individual learning techniques.
Included in the social activities were a trivia night, swimming at the nearby pool, water slides, mini-golf and a trip to the local Minnamurra Falls.
Staff members were reported as impressed with the effort students made in the workshops.
