Dance parties return

"They' re back!"

That is the word from local Youth Worker Dion Richardson in regard to the ever-popular Explosions Dance Parties for the Year 2000.

After the outstanding response to the parties last year, Dion has decided to run the event again on the third Friday of each month.

The attendance at the first party in February proved that Peninsula Youth still support the night.

"Our February party was amazing, we were absolutely filled to capacity and everyone just had a great time.

"We are hoping that we will have as many young people on March 17, and that each party we have will go from strength to strength."

Held at Woy Woy High School hall, the music runs from 7pm to 10pm.

Entry fee is $6 and the nights are fully supervised by volunteers and local police.

Explosions Dance Parties have a safety policy of no passouts, no alcohol and no smoking. They also feature non-stop music requests, and plenty of prizes, including $500 worth of shopping vouchers from Erina Fair .
