Fire station break-in
The Empire Bay Rural Fire Station was broken into between 11pm Tuesday March 14 and the early hours of Wednesday March 15.
An estimation of the value of items stolen and damaged totalled $40,000.
Many items were stolen including a computer and scanner, multiple battery charger, CB radio, generator, telephone cards, fire ground radios, three chainsaws, brush cutter, a lawn-mower and a welder.
The rear roller door of the station was destroyed in the break-in.
