New shed for school farm
At the Umina High School farm, a new shed has been constructed for storage of hay, a utility, and other farm machinery.
Classes have so far harvested corn, rockmelons, grapes and dinosaur gourds.
The school continued its impressive achievements at agricultural shows with success at Maitland.
Umina High entered a team of bulls and heifers and the animals took out most of the major awards, gaining Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons.
Two senior students, Wendy Lowe and Kelly Lawson, performed well in the Senior Paraders' Comp.
