Rainfall was one third above month's average

November's rainfall on the Peninsula was 125.2mm, one third above the month's average of 94mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

The month was the third wettest this year, with 142.4mm in January and 137.7mm in April exceeding the November total.

November was one of three months this year that recorded more rainfall than the month's average.

November's rainfall exceeded the month's average by a greater percentage (33.2 percent) than the other months.

The August rainfall of 81.6mm exceeded the month's average of 65mm by 25.5 per cent.

The January figure of 142.4mm was 21.7 percent higher than the month's average of 117mm.

Total rainfall for the year at the end of November was 743.8, 39.4 percent less than the average of 1228mm for this time of year.

It was the lowest total in 19 years, 18 per cent less than the next lowest November figure of 904.1mm in 2018.

At this time last year, the figure was 2064.8mm, more than 2.7 times this year's figure.
