CWA branch cooking competition attracts 50 entries

The cooking competition at the Umina Beach branch of the Country Women's Association received 50 entries on Monday, November 25.

Judge Ms Marie Bradbury awarded places in nine categories, including two junior categories.

Winners were:

Gluten Free Whole Orange Cake: Mr Tony Griffiths, Ms Margaret Key, Ms Celia O'Meara.

Boiled Fruit Pudding: Ms Celia O'Meara, Mr Ken Janson, Ms Kay Kennaugh.

Boiled Fruit Cake: Ms Margaret Key, Ms Kay Kennaugh, Ms Lin Griffiths.

Sultana Cake: Ms Kay Kennaugh, Ms Celia O'Meara, Ms Tracy Wilson.

Chocolate Butter Cake: Ms Fiona Duckworth, Mr Tony Griffiths, Ms Margaret Key.

Ginger Fluff Sponge: Ms Lin Griffiths, Ms Glenda Chapman, Ms Margaret Key.

Almond Bread: Ms Glenda Chapman, Mr Ken Janson; Tony, Lin and Lou.

Encouragement Award went to Ms Janet Porter.

In the Junior Section:

Simple Tea Cake: Elizabeth McDonald, William McDonald.

Decorated Cupcakes: Abigail McDonald
